Happy New Year from SmallGovCon!
While it’s always exciting to look to a new year, moving on from 2020 will be especially meaningful. However, there were a number of important updates to federal contracting rules in 2020 that we were excited to share with our readers.

Event: Small Business Contracting at Pub K’s Annual Review

Event: SDVOSB Programs Webinar, Hosted by Govology
The federal government spends more than $20 billion annually on contracts with service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. But the rules governing SDVOSB eligibility can be complex and confusing – starting with the fact that the government runs not one, but two SDVOSB programs.

Event: APTAC Limitations on Subcontracting Session
For small businesses and their teammates, few topics in government contracting are as confusing as the limitations on subcontracting for set-aside and socioeconomic sole source contracts. And if that isn’t stressful enough, the “LoS” is an area of heavy enforcement: get it wrong, and a contractor can face major penalties.
Wouldn’t it be nice if someone would explain the limitations on subcontracting in plain English? Well, if you’re a PTAC counselor, you’re in luck.
