Although it doesn’t feel like it yet, spring is on the way. For me, that means that it’s almost time to hit the road for some government contracts conferences and industry events.
This spring, my travels will take me to Washington State, Colorado, and Iowa for events I am really looking forward to attending.
My travels will begin on March 5 in Puyallup, Washington for the 2015 Alliance Northwest Procurement Conference. I will give a seminar on the 2015 NDAA and the SBA’s proposed rule changes implementing various provisions of the 2013 NDAA, including key changes to the limitations on subcontracting. I have been to Alliance several times and it gets bigger and better each year. If you are a government contractor in the Pacific Northwest, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
After commiserating with Seahawks fans about a mind-boggling goal line play call, it will be off to the Rocky Mountains, where I will be giving a presentation at the Spring Conference of the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. The APTAC presentation isn’t open to the public, but PTAC counselors will return to their centers ready to share what they’ve learned. If you haven’t connected with your local PTAC yet, visit the APTAC website to get started.
After logging some airline miles, I will be closer to home on April 7, when I will be part of the Iowa Vendor Conference in Ankeny, Iowa. My presentation at the conference will focus on prime/subcontractor teaming arrangements.
If you plan to be any of these events, let me know in advance and we can set aside some time to chat. I hope to see you there!
